Grafton, WI – Students from Ozaukee County Schools have a new and inviting place to display their art, thanks to the recent collaboration between Ozaukee Nonprofit Center and the Cedarburg Art Museum. The program entitled Student Art Matters features the original artwork of K-12 students in Ozaukee County School Districts. Currently, over 70 pieces from five area schools are on display in the Ozaukee Nonprofit Center Lobby. The display at Ozaukee Nonprofit Center marks the second stop for the art grouping which was previously on display at the museum.
“We are so excited to collaborate with Cedarburg Art Museum on this exciting display” says Carissa Barnes, Ozaukee Nonprofit Center Executive Director “It is wonderful to be able to showcase so much young talent in our center and see our walls come to life.”
Student Art Matters is an ongoing program for the Cedarburg Art Museum that is sponsored by Mel’s Charities. Ozaukee Nonprofit Center is hopeful the collaboration will continue. “The work brings so much joy into our lobby.” Says Barnes “We hope the community will come and see it.”
