Grafton, WI – the Family Enrichment Center of Ozaukee (FEC) announces the appointment of two new members on its Board of Directors.
Joining the Board of Directors is Michael Weber and Julie Pahnke. The new Board members are examples of excellence in relation to their specific fields, having exhibited numerous notable academic and personal achievements. “We feel confident in the valuable contributions that these exceptional individuals are able to bring to the table,” says Carissa Barnes, Executive Director of the Family Enrichment Center of Ozaukee.
Michael Weber is well known in the community and was involved with the inspection of the present FEC board structure back in 2003. Weber took a seat on the original board as it transitioned from a donated owner to a governing board, and is excited to be back in helping to grow the FEC mission. Weber is currently employed as the Superintendent of the Port Washington-Saukville School District, has over 30 years of leadership experience, and has published many journal articles. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Northern Illinois University, a master’s degree from the University of Illinois, a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and clinical psychology training from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology.
Julie Pahnke is a representative of the Ozaukee County community. Holding a Master’s Degree from the Helen Bader Institute of Nonprofit Management and Leadership and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design. Pahnke brings strong leadership experience, familiarity with successful fundraising and development management. Pahnke says, “she hopes to face new challenges in this leadership role with grace, and to foster new connections within her community for a bright future in this wonderful sector”.
The current FEC board now seats Jonah Turner (President), Joe Kassander (Vice President), Don Schoonenberg (Treasurer), Ryan Hammetter (Secretary), Tim Schoonenberg (General Counsel), Krishna Chavali, Tom Wachs, Katy Koenigs, Michael Weber, and Julie Pahnke.
