Grafton, WI – the Ozaukee Nonprofit Center (ONC), a nonprofit organization that provides collaborative space and support to help sustain nonprofits in Ozaukee County will be holding a Volunteer Fair & Open House on June 22nd from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

The event will celebrate the ONC’s one-year anniversary of their new location and building, while offering the community the opportunity to meet local nonprofits from around the county. A free afternoon, where the public can stop out to get the “SCOOP” on volunteering. Anyone who signs up to volunteer with one of the 28 nonprofit agencies participating will receive a free scoop of Cedar Crest Ice Cream. All attendees may enter to win free raffle prizes and food will be available to purchase from Yummy Bones BBQ and That Taco Guy.

This event will recognize the need for residents wanting to become more involved in the community, and also from the organizations struggling to find volunteers. “We are beyond thrilled to welcome the community to visit our collaborative campus”, says Carissa Barnes, ONC Executive Director, “There appears to be a disconnect between the wonderful organizations serving our community and the residents looking for ways they can help others”.

The event is presented by Bank Five-Nine and supported by Grafton Orthodontics. There is no registration required for the event. Interested volunteers are encouraged to attend and learn more about the organizations serving Ozaukee County. The fair is open to all ages.

The following area nonprofits will be present, representing a wide variety of causes and social services in the Ozaukee County community: Advocates of Ozaukee, Balance Inc, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ozaukee County, Blossom IDD, Cedarburg Art Museum, Family Promise of Ozaukee County, Family Sharing of Ozaukee County, Forward Careers, Grafton Chamber of Commerce, Grafton Historical Society, Habitat for Humanity Ozaukee, IndpendenceFirst, Interfaith Caregivers of Ozaukee County, Luxembourg American Cultural Society, Mequon-Thiensville Optimist Club, Mr. Bob’s Under the Bridge, NAMI Ozaukee, Ozaukee Family Services, Ozaukee Masonic Lodge, Ozaukee Nonprofit Center, Port Washington-Saukville Rotary Club, Portal Inc., Riveredge Nature Center, Saukville Community Food Pantry, Sirona Recovery, St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store, Wisconsin Humane Society – Ozaukee Campus, and Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts.
