Grafton, WI – The Ozaukee Nonprofit Center (ONC) is excited to share significant progress on its ongoing facility improvement and expansion project, designed to better serve nonprofit organizations, community partners, and families throughout Ozaukee County.

Over the past several months, construction crews, volunteers, and community partners have worked diligently to transform the ONC campus through a series of upgrades that will enhance accessibility, functionality, and capacity for years to come.

Recent improvements include extensive interior renovations, the installation of new tables and chairs for community gatherings and nonprofit programming, a fresh coat of paint throughout key areas of the building, and the near completion of updated restroom facilities. Work has also continued on the creation of new doorways that will connect indoor spaces directly to the future Eco Wellness Space, providing greater flexibility for programming and events.

Outside, major progress has been made on the Eco Wellness Space, including the completion of a new retaining wall and continued site preparation. This outdoor area will provide opportunities for community engagement, wellness programming, and collaborative activities for nonprofit organizations and residents alike.

The renovation project is part of the ONC’s broader Flexible Facilities Program initiative, which aims to increase the organization’s ability to support the growing needs of Ozaukee County nonprofits and the individuals they serve. Planned enhancements include expanded program space, improved access for families utilizing the Ozaukee Baby Bank, dedicated private meeting and telehealth areas, and modernized spaces designed to encourage collaboration among nonprofit organizations.

“We are thrilled to see these improvements taking shape,” said Carissa Barnes, CEO of the Ozaukee Nonprofit Center. “Every update brings us closer to creating a more welcoming, accessible, and functional space for our nonprofit partners and the community. These investments will help us better serve local families, strengthen nonprofit collaboration, and expand the impact we can have throughout Ozaukee County.”

The Ozaukee Nonprofit Center remains committed to minimizing disruptions while construction continues and looks forward to sharing additional updates as the project progresses.

The ONC extends its gratitude to the donors, partners, contractors, volunteers, and community members whose support has helped make these improvements possible.
