GRAFTON, WI (July 17, 2025) — On Wednesday, July 16, the Rooted Women’s Group from St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton brought their helping hands to the Ozaukee Nonprofit Center (ONC) for an evening of diaper wrapping in support of local families.

This returning group of dedicated volunteers had previously partnered with the ONC to assist with the Ozaukee Community Baby Bank, a vital program that distributes diapers, wipes, and baby essentials to families throughout Ozaukee County. During their visit, the group wrapped nearly 200 diapers and helped reorganize the Baby Bank’s supply shelves, making a big difference in both immediate support for families in need and behind-the-scenes organization.

Their continued support served as a meaningful example of how local faith and service groups can make a lasting impact.

“We’re always grateful to welcome back groups like the Rooted Women of St. Paul,” said Carissa Barnes, CEO of the Ozaukee Nonprofit Center. “Their compassion and commitment truly reflect the power of community, and we hope others will be inspired to give as well.”

The Baby Bank is powered entirely by donations from the community, and the need remains ongoing. Currently, the most urgently needed items are size 5 diapers and pull-ups. Donations can be dropped off at the Ozaukee Nonprofit Center (2360 Dakota Drive, Grafton, WI 53024) or ordered online and shipped directly.

The ONC continues to welcome other local groups to get involved and explore similar volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
