Ozaukee Nonprofit Center Opens Nominations for 2026 Ozaukee Impact Awards
GRAFTON, WI (May 2026) – The Ozaukee Nonprofit Center (ONC) is proud to announce the return of the Ozaukee Impact Awards, an annual celebration recognizing the individuals, organizations, businesses, and volunteers who have made a meaningful difference throughout Ozaukee County.
Nominations for the 2026 Ozaukee Impact Awards will be open from May 11 through May 26, 2026. The community is invited to submit nominations for outstanding local changemakers who exemplify leadership, generosity, collaboration, and service. Award recipients will be honored during the Ozaukee Impact Awards Ceremony on Thursday, July 23, 2026.
Along with our annual awards, this year, ONC is excited to introduce a new award category: the Legacy Award.
The community is invited to submit nominations in the following award categories:
Community Collaboration of the Year
Recognizes two or more volunteer groups or nonprofit organizations that collaborated on a local initiative or project that made a significant impact within the community.
Community Stewardship of the Year
Honors a corporation or business entity that has made a substantial impact through monetary or in-kind donations, sponsorships, employee volunteerism, or community engagement.
Nonprofit Emerging Leader of the Year
Recognizes an early or mid-career nonprofit professional who demonstrates exceptional vision, passion, leadership, and commitment to the community.
Nonprofit of the Year
Acknowledges an outstanding nonprofit organization for its mission-driven success, innovation, and service to the community.
Volunteer of the Year
Honors a volunteer who consistently went above and beyond in lending their time, talents, and expertise to support a nonprofit organization.
Legacy Award
The Legacy Award honors an individual whose longstanding dedication, leadership, and service have made a lasting impact on Ozaukee County and its communities. This award recognizes a deep, sustained commitment to strengthening the community and improving the lives of those who live and work within it.
“The Ozaukee Impact Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the people and organizations working every day to make our community stronger,” said Carissa Barnes. “We are especially excited to introduce the Legacy Award this year to honor those whose years of service and commitment have left a lasting mark on Ozaukee County.”
Special consideration for the 2026 Impact Awards will be given to Ozaukee Nonprofit Center Member Organizations, where applicable. Previous award recipients will not be eligible to receive the same award in consecutive years but may be nominated in another category.
